Abstract

This volume brings together the complete collection of abstracts presented at the 1st International Conference on Bangladesh Studies (ICBS-I), held on 19–20 April 2025 at Istanbul Ticaret University. Organized by the Center for Policy and Social Research (CPSR) in collaboration with partner institutions, the conference gathered scholars, researchers, and practitioners to reflect on Bangladesh’s political, social, economic, and cultural transformations, especially in light of the July Revolution.

The contents list of the Abstracts Book includes 91 abstracts, each representing a distinct research contribution to the conference. Taken together, the titles reveal an exceptionally wide thematic range, covering political upheavals, democratic reforms, foreign policy shifts, social movements, climate and environmental studies, public health, digital governance, religious and cultural analysis, and emerging technologies. The diversity of topics reflects the depth of current scholarship on Bangladesh and the many dimensions through which researchers are examining the country’s rapid transformation.
