Md Nasir Uddin Sikdar is a postgraduate student in Economics and Finance at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Türkiye, with a strong academic focus on public policy, fintech, and applied economics. He completed his undergraduate studies in Finance and Banking at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, where he built a solid foundation in financial systems and economic analysis.
Nasir has developed practical research experience through his roles as a Research Assistant at the AKFA Memorial Research Center (Finance Cluster) and as a Data Collector for a COVID-19 research project under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Jakir Hosen at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Currently, he is actively engaged in multiple research projects in collaboration with academic professionals from Türkiye and Bangladesh.
In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Nasir serves as the Deputy Coordinator for IT and Media at the Center for Policy and Social Research (CPSR), where he contributes to digital strategy, communication, and technical operations. He is also involved in professional training, delivering sessions on Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email communication, and workplace management tools such as Trello, QuickBooks, and Xero, aiming to enhance students’ employability and professional skills.
His research interests include fintech, Islamic banking, economic policy, and development studies. Nasir is passionate about bridging academic knowledge with practical applications and aspires to contribute to research and innovation in financial technology and Islamic economics.
