Dr. ASM Mahmudul Hasan is an Assistant Professor of International Law at Karabük University, Türkiye. He previously served in a similar academic capacity at Bursa Uludağ University, reflecting his sustained commitment to teaching, research, and academic excellence. Before relocating to Türkiye, Dr. Hasan was a faculty member in the Department of Law at the International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh.
In addition to his academic career, Dr. Hasan is an Advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and a member of the Chittagong District Bar Association, demonstrating his active engagement in legal practice. He also contributes to the scholarly community as an editorial board member and reviewer for several indexed academic journals.
Dr. Hasan earned his Ph.D. in International Law from Bursa Uludağ University. His academic background is further strengthened by multiple postgraduate qualifications, including an LL.M. in Law, an M.A. in Islamic Studies, and Takmeel in Hadith. He was awarded a Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance in his LL.B. degree.
His research interests encompass a broad range of fields, including international law, international relations, Islamic law, human rights, and legal theory. Dr. Hasan has made significant scholarly contributions through numerous publications, including books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles. His recent work addresses contemporary global issues such as maritime security, international environmental law, digital privacy, artificial intelligence regulation, and migration crises.
An active participant in the global academic community, Dr. Hasan regularly presents his research at international conferences and symposiums. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Policy and Social Research (CPSR), where he contributes to interdisciplinary policy research and academic collaboration.
