Bio

Currently I am a Research Fellow at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC: Institute for Nanoscience and Materials of Aragón – University of Zaragoza) in Spain. I have completed the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) ITN H2020 ED-ARCHMAT Ph.D. in cotutelle with the University of Burgos (Spain) and University of Evora (Portugal), achieving a great success: ‘PhD with the highest possible distinction in the Spanish academic system’ titled “SOBRESALIENTE CUM LAUDE”. I worked on another MSCA H2020 COFUND Ph.D. project – Tech4Culture at the University of Turin (Italy) back in 2018.

Prior to that, I successfully accomplished Erasmus Mundus European Master in ARCHMAT, securing the highest possible distinction in the Italian system – ‘SUMMA CUM LAUDE’ that three universities awarded: University of Evora (Portugal), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), and Sapienza Università di Roma (Italy). I completed my graduation (B.Sc. Engineering) and post-graduation (M.S. Engineering) from the Department of Applied Physics, Electronics & Communication Engineering (APECE), University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

My research activity mainly focuses on materials for applications in energy and laser processing, the development of environmentally respectful industrially scalable laser processing methods, and the multi-analytical non-invasive approach to study objects of artistic and archeological interest.

I am also the current President (Ad Interim) of the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA). Apart from my study & research activities, I have been involved with EMA in different prestigious volunteering roles since 2015. I volunteered as the Country Representative for Bangladesh for four consecutive years, two years as the Vice President for EMA South Asian Chapter, two years as the CRNet (Country Representative Network) Manager, and one year as the elected Vice President of the association. During my tenure, I achieved success in numerous EMA events, including three notable EMA humanitarian projects carried out in the name of EMA Bangladesh.

As EMA’s President (Ad Interim), I want to develop the EMA community as a global brand cum international spotlight, open up the possibilities for alumni involvement and worldwide outreach & visibility by the “globally connected, locally skilled” vision.

In addition, I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures, working in different countries, keeping close contact with the locals, exchanging views for a better world for all, exploring new ideas to solve socio-global problems, and participating in social activities that benefit humanity the most.
